AirPlay to Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick

Reflector is now available for the Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick just in time for the holidays! Reflector gives Fire TV users more control over their home entertainment. It’s an AirPlay mirroring receiver that allows users to send iOS device and computer screens to a Fire TV.

Reflector for Fire TV opens a new door for content on television. Games available for iPad and iPhone can now be played on the big screen, and videos and pictures can be shared with everyone in the room.

Use Fire TV as a second display for a computer. Reflector for Fire TV can receive mirroring connections from computers, too. Extend your desktop to the connected TV for more space or mirror it exactly how it is.

Reflector on Fire TV is available on the Fire TV store for $6.99!

How can you use Reflector on Fire TV?

  • Stream movies from your iOS device and control playback with the Fire TV remote.
  • Share pictures and videos from your iPad or iPhone with everyone who can see your TV.
  • Share presentations from iOS devices to a larger screen.
  • Play iOS games on a larger screen.
  • Display your computer screen wirelessly on a larger display.
  • Extend your computer desktop to Fire TV using AirParrot 2 for more workspace.

How to download Reflector for Android on Fire TV?

On Fire TV, browse to the Apps > Entertainment area and look for Reflector or go to Search from the main menu and search for “Reflector”.

Enjoy and Happy Holidays!

Wirelessly streaming a Surface Pro to a computer or projector

AirPlay Mirroring isn’t limited to iPads and iPhones. Displaying a Microsoft Surface Pro or Pro 2 tablet on a larger screen wirelessly is easy. After installing AirParrot on your Surface Pro, you will be able to AirPlay Mirror to any Apple TV 2 or 3 or any computer running Reflector

AirParrot on a Surface Pro works exactly like it does on a desktop PC, except you’re not tethered by wires or bulky laptops.

After you launch AirParrot, the AirParrot icon will be present in your toolbar.

Right click on this icon and you will be presented with any available AirPlay receivers on your network.

Select a receiver from the list and your tablet screen will appear at the destination.

That’s it. No wires, and no unnecessary adapters or dongles. If your destination is connected to a projector, an entire group can see your tablet without looking over your shoulder!

Please note that any tablets running Windows RT, such as the Windows Surface RT, can not run AirParrot.

Mirroring your tablet but only see a portion of your screen? We can help!

Connecting to an AirPlay Receiver with iOS 7

After upgrading to iOS 7 or purchasing a new iPhone, iPad or iPod, you might notice a few changes. One significant change is the addition of the control center.

Access Control Center for AirPlay

This menu, accessible by swiping up from the bottom of your device, contains essential connectivity options for your device and will allow you to connect to an AirPlay receiver.

The AirPlay option will only appear if you’re on a network with available AirPlay receivers. If you’ve already opened Reflector, you should see your computer in the list of available AirPlay receivers.
