Squirrels LLC Releases AirParrot 2 For Chrome OS: Users Can Mirror Chromebooks To Apple TV

The new AirParrot 2 for Chrome OS software by Squirrels LLC is now available. AirParrot 2 for Chrome OS adds Apple AirPlay mirroring capabilities to Chrome OS devices. Chromebook users can wirelessly share and display their screen on second- through fourth-generation Apple TVs and Reflector-enabled devices.

AirParrot 2 for Chrome OS includes:

  • The ability to mirror Chrome OS screens to multiple Apple TVs at once
  • Apple TV 4 support
  • tvOS 10.3 support

AirParrot 2 for Chrome OS is available in the chrome web store for $4.99, and it's free for previous AirParrot for Chrome OS users.

Ditto Screen-Sharing Service Receives Update

Apple TV tvOS 10.2 Support - This update adds compatability with Apple's latest update for Apple TV, tvOS 10.2. 

Device Verification - Ditto can now connect to Apple TVs using the Device Verification feature. This feature requires users input a one-time code to begin sharing their screen to the Apple TV. After they enter the code once, they generally will not be prompted again until they visit goditto.com again to connect.  

Other improvements include:
  • Improved compatibility with Reflector 2 on Android Devices
  • Added volume adjsutment on Windows
  • Fixed a potential long delay on launching on Windows
  • Numerous stabiltiy improvements and bug fixes

AirParrot 2.7 for Mac and Windows is Now Available

A new AirParrot 2 update is now available for all Mac and Windows users. This update adds support for Chromecast Audio devices and the yet-to-be-released tvOS 10.2 update.

You can update AirParrot 2 by selecting “Check for Updates” from the AirParrot 2 preferences menu. Additionally, you can download the new version from the AirParrot 2 download page.

  • Improved reliability on large networks and when changing networks

A new Reflector 2 update is available for Windows users. You can update Reflector 2 by selecting “Check for Updates” from the Reflector 2 preferences menu. Additionally, you can download the new version from the Reflector 2 download page.

  • Resolved an issue that could cause unnecessary CPU utilization with no devices mirroring

Reflector 2.7 adds ClassHub Device Management and Monitoring Support

Reflector 2.7 is now available for Mac and Windows. This release adds support for ClassHub, a new student device management and monitoring solution from Squirrels.
