Squirrels is not your average company. We are often in sandals and shorts at the office. Occasionally you will spot a T-Rex reading a magazine, and it’s pretty normal to see someone zoom past you on a hoverboard. While we have fun, what really makes us stand out is our dedication to giving back to the community we love so much.
Earlier this month, Squirrels partnered with Habitat for Humanity for the fourth time to help build and restore homes for local families. Habitat for Humanity is a world-wide organization that not only gives families the opportunity to own an affordable home, but also to provides them the resources to get out of debt and lead a positive life. Today, Habitat for Humanity serves nearly 500 families in East Central Ohio.
Our team was divided between four different sites in Canton. Our time was spent nailing in baseboards and window frames, knocking down walls, ripping up carpet and painting. We even got to use power tools (we know - Squirrels using power tools can be a frightening image). We accomplished multiple days worth of work in a single morning. Even we were impressed!
Of course no Squirrels activity is complete without at least a couple dozen photos.
We’re grateful that we had the opportunity to help such deserving families, and we wish the best for all of them. To learn more about how to get involved with Habitat for Humanity in your area, visit their website.
