Squirrels Spends a Day with Habitat for Humanity

The Squirrels team traded its computers and headphones for work boots and tool belts last week.

We like to take time to give back to our community every once in a while. That's why we teamed up with Habitat for Humanity in Canton, Ohio, to help make the Johnson-Brandon family's dream a reality.

Years ago, John Brandon began a journey to move back to Ohio to help take care of his sister, Brenda Johnson, and her family. During the travel, John suffered a stroke that left him physically challenged and stripped of his independence. Brenda took responsibility for John's care but found the task challenging in her two-story rental home with many health and safety hazards.

The Squirrels Habitat for Humanity project will give Brenda and John a safe, well-built, single-story home. Brenda has worked tirelessly to complete the Habitat program by herself, along with the wonderful volunteers that Habitat for Humanity provides. We were honored to spend a day helping such a deserving family, and we wish the best for Brenda, John and their entire family.

Also, #TeamSquirrels can now tote that we're (kind of) siding experts after our past two Habitat for Humanity volunteer days! Check out our photos to see the Squirrels team in action!
