Squirrels Donates to Local Food Bank

It’s the holiday season, which means it’s time for giving.

The Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank is a facility that provides food and other essential items to those in need in Northeast Ohio. With agencies in eight counties (Carroll, Holmes, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas and Wayne), the Food Bank operates 500 food pantries, hot meal sites, shelters and other hunger-relief programs in the neighborhoods and communities where people need food.

#teamsquirrels was able to raise $1,200 to help the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank with its initiative to make sure that the members of our communities are receiving adequate nutrition.

We encourage everyone to find a note-worthy cause this month and make a difference. If you’re in the area, learn more about Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank and find out how to get involved or donate. If not, visit American Charities to search for a charity by cause, location and/or federation.
