This new Ditto update introduces support for looped videos and animated GIFs. This release also includes improvements to the user experience, screen mirroring functionality and digital signage capabilities.
Here's what’s new in Ditto:
Ditto tvOS Receiver
- Added support for playing full duration of digital signage videos automatically (“play until end”)
- Added support for animated GIFs uploaded in the Media Layout
Ditto Windows Receiver
- Added support for playing full duration of digital signage videos automatically (“play until end”)
- Added support for animated GIFs uploaded in the Media Layout
- Updated to hide mouse cursor when devices are mirroring if cursor hasn’t moved in 10 seconds
Ditto Connect for macOS
- Fixed issue that caused users to not be automatically prompted to update to new versions
- Fixed issue that caused Ditto to continue screen mirroring after notebook lid closed
- Added support for notifying user if Ditto Connect is not connected to the network
- Fixed issue where audio wouldn’t send to some AirPlay devices on reconnect
Ditto Connect for Windows
- Fixed issue where users couldn’t mirror full screen to legacy Apple TV (gen 2 and 3) receivers
- Fixed issue that caused Ditto to continue screen mirroring after notebook lid closed
- Fixed issue where audio wouldn’t send to legacy Google Cast receivers
- Added support for notifying user if Ditto Connect is not connected to the network
Ditto Connect for iOS
- Miscellaneous bug fixes and performance improvements
Ditto Connect for Chrome OS
- Miscellaneous bug fixes and performance improvements
Ditto Account Portal
- Fixed bug that occurred when resetting password
- Fixed bug with digital signage storage display
- Added ability to set specific durations for digital signage Items
- Added ability to set digital signage videos to play their full duration automatically (“play until end”)
- Added ability to set “play until end” videos to loop multiple times
- Added ability to schedule signage that will run past midnight
- Fixed a bug where Layout Items sometimes failed to generate
- Added support for animated GIFs uploaded in the Media Layout
