New Ditto Connect Updates Arrive

Wireless collaboration is always about the destination...and sometimes the bugs you squash along the way. Ditto Connect for Mac and Windows received updates this week to improve the user experience and fix a few bugs. Here is what's new:

This update improves compatibility with Ditto Director, adds functionality to handle instances where users forget to disconnect, corrects audio issues, fixes bugs that caused freezes/crashes and more.

Here's a snapshot of what’s new in Ditto:

Ditto Connect for Windows:

• Fixed an issue that caused display mirroring to freeze when switching from one display to another connected display with the same resolution
• Improved what happens when a computer lid is closed before disconnecting from Ditto
  • Previously, the last mirrored content remained on the destination device; Ditto now fully disconnects
• Fixed an issue that caused Ditto Connect to crash while using the specific-app mirroring function
  • The app could experience a crash after multiple resize attempts or while moving the app window
• Improved compatibility with Ditto Director app
• Miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements

Ditto Connect for Mac:

• Fixed an issue that caused audio output to remain on the Ditto audio output instead of returning to default system audio after closing Ditto
• Updated specific-app mirroring
  • When the mirrored app is minimized, or when a user swipes to another desktop, Ditto will now disconnect; Previously, the display would show the last frame or a blank screen
• Improved what happens when a computer lid is closed before disconnecting from Ditto
  • Previously, the last mirrored content remained on the destination device; Ditto now fully disconnects
• Fixed an audio issue on the temporary Ditto Connect app
• Fixed an issue that caused Ditto Connect to crash while using the specific mirroring function
  • The app could experience a crash after multiple resize attempts or while moving the app window
• Improved compatibility with Ditto Director app
• Miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements
